International journal “Applied and Computational Mathematics” founded by ministry rose to 10th place in the world by impact factor index
The journal ranked 10th among 265 international publications in the world in the category of mathematics and applied mathematics, and 8th in the European Union. The journal retains its leading position among the CIS countries. The editorial staff of the international scientific journal includes 38 prominent scientists from 20 countries of the world.
To date, 51 issues of the journal have published, on the pages of which more than 500 articles by authors from over 50 countries of the world have been published.
It is to be noted that in 2008, the journal was included in the list of Science Citation Index Expanded by Thomson Reuters (now Clarivate Analytics). According to the agency’s annual report (2009 Journal Citation Reports), in 2010, for the first time in the history of Azerbaijani science, the journal was awarded an Impact Factor of 0.633.
The journal publishes high-level, well-founded scientific articles related to various fields of applied and computational mathematics and received high reviews. For 19 years of its activity, the publication has implemented scientific exchange with over 250 international scientific and educational institutions in more than 50 countries of the world.
It should be noted that the editor emeritus of the journal is Professor of the University of Illinois (USA) Tamer Bashar, chief editors – Director of the Scientific Research Institute of Applied Mathematics of Baku State University, member of the Presidium of ANAS, Academician Fikret Aliyev, Director General of the Institute of Control Systems of ANAS, Academician Ali Abbasov, Professor of the Institute for Problems in Mechanics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Vladimir Larin.
