Use of frequencies

The State Administration of Radio Frequencies provides services to physical and legal persons, administrations and organisations that plan to use radio frequencies.

To take advantage of these services, at first, users of radio frequencies shall obtain permit from the State Commission for Radio Frequencies.  These permits are regulated in accordance with Decision No. 22 of the Cabinet of Ministers dated 01.02.2007. 

The documents submitted in this respect are reviewed during the appropriate meeting of the State Commission for Radio Frequencies. In compliance with the decision of the protocol drawn up in this regard, in order to assign the particular radio frequency of the allocated radio frequency band, it is required to submit an application to the State Administration of Radio Frequencies within 10 days.

After submitting application of the user in accordance with the decision of the State Commission for Radio Frequencies, the State Administration of Radio Frequencies starts to assign the particular radio frequency. In order to register facilities to be operated on the assigned radio frequencies, questionnaires and other required documents are to be submitted to the State Administration of Radio

Frequencies.   

At the same time, with the purpose of obtaining special permit for civil circulation of the aforementioned facilities, the user shall submit an application to the Ministry of Transport, Communication and High Technologies. After acquiring special permit, the State Administration of Radio Frequencies and the user of radio frequency sign a mutual agreement on legalising the operation of radio electronic facilities. The permit for operating the facilities in the network is granted only after the payment to be effected in accordance with the tariffs approved by the Tariff (Price) Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
