Azerbaijan, Russia sign agreement on cooperation in communications and information technologies
Today, within the framework of the meeting held in Moscow between Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov and Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, an agreement was signed on cooperation in the field of communications and information technologies between the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation.
From the Azerbaijani side the agreement was signed by Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rashad Nabiyev, from the Russian side – by Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Maksut Shadayev.
The agreement covers issues such as regulation of the telecommunications sector between Azerbaijan and Russia, digital television and radio broadcasting, Internet governance, network security, mutual recognition of electronic signatures, postal services, innovations, personnel training in communications and information technologies and technology transfer in specialized areas.
